On our 4th year anniversary, we are thankful for everything and everyone that has been a part of Public Culture’s journey. All the highs and lows that have filled our days and make it special to look back on. Blessed and supported as a community, we want to expand our family and pass on our gratitude to Daarul Aitam Orphanage, South Jakarta on Saturday, 26 October 2019.
We spent our morning painting t-shirts together with the children. As we were exploring ideas, we got to hear them share about their dreams and interests. It was refreshing, being reminded of why we do what we do in the first place. We then prayed and have lunch together, shared giggles on a guessing game, and wrapped up the day with sweets, gifts, high fives, and pictures with the kids.
All in all, it was a simple day full of laughter, gratitude, and contentment. A definite joyful and humbling experience for us. A reminder to always treasure the moment. Scroll through the photos below to see the fun.
Once again, Public Culture joined the largest annual bazaar in Indonesia, Brightspot Market 2018. Other than bringing our Collection #09: Anger Management vibe to the scene, we add something special as usual. Visitors may purchase our special Mystery Box at the event, buy our exclusive items like PC/Tantra Capsule Collection and Collection #09: Anger Management DROP 1 Exclusive Products, and get free patch for every purchase.
Exclusive for Brightspot Market 2018, we also brought Collection #09: Anger Management DROP 2 (even though the official release is not until December 2018). We can definitely feel the enthusiasm from our loyal fam out there. Thank everyone who turned up and looking forward to see you again next year!

To mark our three-year journey in the business, we held an anniversary event and an exclusive capsule collection in collaboration with Tantra (Bali) on Saturday, 13 October 2018. The celebration took place at The Moon, Hotel Monopoli and was divided into 2 sessions: Private Tie Dye Workshop during the day and a celebration party in the evening.
We invited fifteen Indonesia’s key brands and creatives to join us for the private workshop, including Deva States, Dibba, Elhaus, Paradise Youth Club, Bluesville, Dominate, Mote Mote, Ageless Galaxy, Capital, Brightspot Market, Neighbourlist, Voyej, and Imaji Studio. Through the workshop, PC aimed to strengthen the bond between the forces in the industry and encourage more collaborative work in the future in order to break both domestic and international market.
The workshop was led by Deya Ayu Defrillia, a Jakarta-based artist. She guided all the participants to tie-dye their PC 3rd Anniversary Friends and Family Exclusive T-shirt.
Overall, it was such a great afternoon of familyhood and togetherness. Scroll through the photos below to see the fun. Written by PA.
In the celebration of our ninth collection, we decided to held a special exhibition from August 31st – September 2nd 2018 at Ganara Art Space, Kemang. More than just a launching event for the collection, the opening night of the exhibition was more of a celebration; a night with PC’s friends and family who have supported us since the beginning.
Four specially-designed installations were showcased at the event: Collection #09: *Anger Management* Editorial Photos, Wall of Tees, Wall of Frames, and Video Installation by our talented good friend, Raven Navaro. We also made a special room for visitors to release their anger (in a proper way, of course) called the Anger Room. Visitors were equipped with a weapon of their choice, and allowed to break everything in the installation. Fun, we know.
Moreover, Ridwan (DEKADENZ) kept us dancing all night. Booze and pizza by Pizza Place were served for free and visitors were allowed to get themselves Collection #09 free patch and stencil as well.
All in all, it was a great night. We had a blast and a good memory certainly made. We want to thank everyone who came and made the night even more special to us. Hope to see you guys on our next event! (p.s. It might be sooner than you think ;))
