Asking people about things they like and asking them for recommendations here and there is always a fun thing to do. So, based on that, we make this ‘Staff Picks’ section to dig deeper inside the heads of our crew on board; getting to know more about their top 5 choices of everything we would love to know.
For the first edition of ‘Staff Picks’, we asked Amru, our beloved graphic designer, to do some throwback, to pick his most favorite PC releases of 2020. And here’s his top 5:
PC / SNUB N FRIENDS T-SHIRT
One of the collaborations that happened during the pandemic. The main idea of the graphic is all about adaptation; kind of a message to everyone to stay at home. Even for some people staying home is a hard thing to do, that’s one of the most important things to do.
This is the first furniture item that I design, I guess. From the brainstorming process to finally get the result, it was a fun journey. I wonder if someday I randomly visit my friend’s house and they have this chair, without them knowing it was designed by me. I should’ve got this foldable chair too.
‘PLANET B’ TUMBLER
I love the message represented by this collection. It’s for the greater good, also this could be given you some slight reflections about what can you do to mother earth, to be kind to nature, at the bare minimum. Even though it sounds pretentious in some way, using reusable tumbler maybe could help reduce plastic waste. It feels right to be mindful of everything we do. Besides that, I also like the graphic and the lookbook—proud to have done those illustrations. Plus, for those who like to ride a bicycle, this tumbler could be a perfect fit for your bikes.
‘THE MUSIC NEVER STOPPED’ T-SHIRT
I love this item for some simple reasons. First, the Robert Crumb-esque references in the graphic. The second reason was, it shows all the crew of PC’s creative and marketing team. There’s my face on that t-shirt! Lol.
‘MAGICAL FEELING’ KNIT SWEATER
Knit sweater is my all-time favorite. Having and wearing a knit sweater is kind of like having a loving and caring grandma who likes to make you a special present, well, like a knit sweater. Is that even make any sense? The graphic is also cute. Love the overall of how it’s done.
Go say hi to Amru here.
